Our Journey
Our Journey
At the start of 2020, 3% of people within the Microsoft Partner Network identified as Black. It is often common to enter spaces where there is one black person or no black people at all. The Power Platform School was created to change this imbalance. Partnering with the Black Minds Matter charity to upskill and mentor a group of young Black people eager to understand the Power Platform and have an opportunity to enter into a tech career.
As each iteration of the school has run, the Power Platform School – with the assistance and support of the wider Microsoft Community – have built relationships, educated, mentored and placed promising Black people across different Microsoft Partners.

What Our Mentors Say
Our mentors are volunteers from the Microsoft Community who have years of experience to share with our mentees. Both our mentees and mentors have shared how valuable the mentorship process was to them.
